Ndejje University takes on Kampala International University

Ndejje University shared the spoils with Kampala International University (KIU) in the on going Uganda Telecom Invitational Inter-University games played at Ndejje University on Tuesday, 11th/10/2007

The home team dominated the volleyball games winning both the ladies and men in straight sets with little resistance from the visitors who had arrived over 45 minutes late. The match officials led the KIU teams straight on court, without the usual warm-up sessions needed in preparation for the game.

KIU turned their guns to avenge in the basketball game where they banged the home team 59-27 in the ladies and 75-61 in a highly tense encounter for the men’s game.

Ndejje's Tom Bukenya was shown marching orders in the fourth quarter after accumulating 5 fouls. However, the officials had to stop the game 10 seconds to the end time due to a brawl involving both teams after Ndejje had contested a tough umpire decision.

The teams later shared points in football after a stalemate in an interesting game watched by a big crowd thanks to KIU skipper/keeper Kalanzi Hamza who saved a penalty 20 minutes from the final whistle.
